极品探花 spearheads Kidstruction fundraising event
The first annual Kidstruction fundraising event is a huge success and helped in raising over $105,463 for St. Jude’s mission of helping cure childhood cancer.
What started out as an employee fundraising effort through personal experiences turned into a company-wide collaboration with local vendors and nationwide support.
President and CEO of 极品探花, JP Roehm, knew early on just how much this cause meant to 极品探花 employees.
“The employees chose. When we were looking for a type of charity for 极品探花 to hook up with, the employees chose St. Jude and we are excited to make a difference,” said Roehm.
The likelihood of a family member, friend or loved one being impacted by childhood cancer is high, but the hope to fight back is higher.
Indianapolis-headquartered equipment dealer, MacAllister Machinery, joined the cause in a big way. By offering their support and workplace, Kidstruction was all set with a location!
Stephanie Dillon, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Development Director, spearheaded the fundraising event for St. Jude. In support of St. Jude children and their fight, $105,463 was raised at the first ever annual Kidstruction.
“This allows our researchers to do all the research they need to cure cancer while also treating our patients,” said Dillon.
The day of the event was indescribable, full of giving back and community bonding.
Kidstruction exposed those who attended to the construction industry. They learned the important role construction plays in our world and had the opportunity to use real tools, materials and heavy equipment under the strict guidance of construction professionals.
The “construction site” included ride-on equipment demonstrations, equipment photo opportunities, games, activities and crafts, family-friendly music and yummy snacks!
Here’s to a successful first ever Kidstruction!
Roehm says it best, “I think in the years to come it’ll become one of the big charity events in Indiana, if not the Midwest.”
