Women in Construction: Kaitlyn Walker
“When I went into engineering back in college … I wanted to do something that made a difference,” says ACC West Coast Project Manager Kaitlyn Walker. Overseeing installation of High Friction Surface Treatment applications, the work she and her team does has a direct impact on the safety of the traveling public. “They invested in me, they sent me to certain trainings, gave me more responsibility, more projects to try and run myself. Within two and a half years of starting with ACC, I was promoted to project manager. … It’s incredible I’ve had an opportunity like this.”
